I figured that it was time to make my dash a bit more functional, so it had to come out.
After an inspection, some repair work and some cleaning up, I am left with this.
I picked up necessary parts from my parents this week so, I should have an update tomorrow...

At the time of the pic no and in realityat least half of the wires there are not being used.

Move dash 2-3 cm forward, trim dash to better fit windshield, reinforce the dash bulkhead, pass the harness so that it isn't as tight and reinstall dash ducting. Pedal assembly is also being changed and the steering column requires some modifications as well.
The trimming is almost done, a few more adjustments are needed...

The dash is mounted in its new location, Dan gave me the idea of welding the MK4 bulkhead brackets to the car instead of using a hybrid MK3/4 bolt on bracket, 40 min later here is the result.
Just have to double check with the end covers on, but it could be done |

They screwed up, they put the steering wheel and pedals on the wrong side. _________________ **My other ride is your mom** |

How are your electrics coming along? its gonna be very SWEET to see this finished product!
The work involved in the TT swap is damn immence, its the same width, but is slightly deeper slight adjustments needed, no electrics need to be changed, and the bolt/screw holes pretty much match up! This was forsure designed in the interest of crazy guys willing to rip apart dashboards haha! But i cannot comfirm if the swap will work the other way around as iv never seen it done... That car on the other hand is COMPLETLY amazing!
R32 swap as u can see . . . before this was done the car was silver and was already looking AMAZING! he striped it apart and completly changed it! HARDCORE
What you think of this swap? can u guess whaty its from, its in a MK2

Electrics are plug and play, the entire car harness is MK4.
PS: It's alive. |

Not yet, although I once I drive it a bit it will be on. I had a MAF code last year, and I doubt it would have disappeared over the winter. New sensor and TIP are in the works although not a really a priority because the car ran very well as is. MAF input is not used at WOT anyway
Still a few important details to work out before it's back on the road. |
